Thanks, This would be fine except the Cancel Message is dimmed and won’t work. Any ideas on how to turn it on? Wayne Michael Muloin <m…@bigfoot.com> wrote in message

Hi Wayne, That was an interesting suggestion.  Who knows – it may even help with your sinusitis!! FYI, this group is not moderated as far as I know. You can delete your own postings to Usenet with Outlook Express. Highlight your message heading, go to "Message" in the menu and "Cancel Message." Regards, Michael M. You must highlight your OWN POSTS to be deleted from the list of posts displayed in the upper window of Outlook Express.  Only then will the "Cancel Message" function work. Cheers, Michael M. Wayne <wayne-pie…@email.msn.com> wrote in message

It would be nice if this all worked.  Do to all the errors with OE, I was again on the phone with MS tech support for over an hour and can’t couldn’t get anywhere. She finally told me her boss would call me soon and try to fix it.     This AM I unloaded Outlook Express, deleted all the files and shortcuts and did a full reinstall of Windows 98. I then let the system configure OE and downloaded the newsgroups. Another hour wasted. I get the same errors, can’t open even MSNEWS newsgroup messages without a 502 error. The Cancel Message button seemed ready to work, so I tried this AM to delete my unfortunate messages. A message popped up and said the request was sent, but so far they are still their.     I’m on a fairly new IBM Aptiva system, so can’t understand what’s going on. One tech did tell me that Windows 98 was having problems when antivirus from Windows Plus are present. So I uninstalled, but no difference.     If Sue ever develops sinus problems and starts reading this site, I’m dead. She’s actually just a very good friend with whom I banter a lot, so this is unfortunate. I still can’t figure out how this message got here. But I do push wrong buttons once in awhile.
