Do I have Sinus?

Question:

This is the second identical problem in two months. Pain on the left side of the face-upper and lower teeth-ear above the left eye-no mucus-or congested nose.  The first treatment was Rhinocort, Prednisone 6 day treatment. Everything cleared until yesterday.  I am waiting for the Doctor to respond. Tremendous pain.  Tylenol or Aleve seems to help for 2 hours at the most. Any thoughts? Thanks

Response:

I have had the same problem for several years.  Had a scan at the hospital but was told that m sinuses were fine.  My doctor doesn’t seem to care too much about it but the pain is horrendous and lasts for several days.  What is it? and, most importantly, can it be treated? Someone please help! In article <T%6X6.216686$f85.32623…@typhoon.nyroc.rr.com>, Milli…@aol.com <milli…@aol.com> writes >This is the second identical problem in two months. Response:

Everybody has a sinus. In fact, a few of them, not only one. I think you mean "sinusitis". Part of the problem of terminology lies with the OTC cold medicine sellers, who now try to use the word "sinus" to sell their medicines, and use the term incorrectly.
