Preesi I felt crap continually for months when I first was diagnosed with sinus problems and was put on antibiotics and pain killers early on with no luck. Nasonex helped with the main symptoms, but I just felt shit every morning, dragged myself into work and struggled to make it to the end of day.  I had stomach problems, headaches, you name it, yet my blood test were spot on also .  I went to see a nutritionist and got some good advice on diet (mine was good generally) but extra supplements and regular small meals made a big difference to my energy levels. After being on Nasonex for nine or ten months and having read lots on this newsgroup about saline irrigation I took the plunge and bought a douching kit.  I have used it for three days now (once AM, one PM) and I can’t remember when I last had such a clear head.  Whether it is the douching directly, or whether the Nasonex is working better after irrigation I don’t know, but it’s really worth giving it a go.  And as we’re talking about salt and water it’s possibly one of the most cost effective (as well as natural) treatments there is. I hope the CAT turns out OK, if it’s like most people here have experienced (and as you blood test have shown) then things will be fine – just sinus problems fuck you up in ways that those who haven’t had such problems will never know! Not sure how long you’ve been on this site but you might have figured that regular douching may prevent the suffering from colds and thus sinusitis. Douching during infections is useful to remove mucus from your nasal passage. Jon http://www.emcur.co.uk

Okay, I’m going in for my CAT scan tomorrow… I’ve almost NEVER had a cold without getting an ear infection, and a few yrs ago I let a sinus infection go a little too long. And now its SOOOO easy to get others! I’ve been on antibiotics on and off since right before X-mas! Some antibiotics and me dont get along and I had to stop them prior to their completion! I’m getting tired of being sick. A sinus infection will go away but the last 3 days of antibiotics I’ll feel like shit, and THEN my ears will stuff up. HELP!
