aura and sinusitis
Question:
anyone experiences auras when suffering from sinusitis? it’s more like a few seconds spinning disc that i mainly see with my eyes closed. it’s rather small and disappears after a few seconds. it seems to be more common in the mornings and only when i have other symptoms of sinusitis like stuffy head, discharge and sinus pressure. an explanation could be an ocular migraine but it’s too coincidental unless sinusitis somehow triggers it.
Response:
Hello…. A number of years back (when my sinuses were quite bad), I noticed from time to time a form of "flickering" with my eyes closed. I mentioned this to my eye Doc., but he said my eyes were fine. Nothing like flashing lights or anything…But rather, very subtle…. …My major sinus problems are ethmoid related. ….Jon

Well, perhaps they could both be triggered by the same root cause, namely changed blood flow to the area, or stress leading to infection as well as aura, or …… I do get aura occasionally and I have sinsuitis, but I do not ntoice any particular correlation of the two.

it’s the ethmoid sinuses for me too. this is subtle as well and i can only see it very vaguely unless my eyes are closed. it’s more noticeable when blinking and looking at a light surface such as a tv screen showing bright background – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Johnny1…@webtv.net wrote in message <news:17813-3DF4C72D-586@storefull-2314.public.lawson.webtv.net>… > Hello…. I have what I describe as sparks going off in my head. It’s really bad in summer and less in winter. I have 4 seasonal allergies and never have relief even if I use one of those nose things. Because the problem is deep in the back of my sinus area. "S White" <white4…@yahoo.com> wrote in message
