Where Do I Find A Good ENT?
Question:
I am looking for a Good ENT that has a cat scan unit at there office/center. Am I asking for to much? Do ENT Doctors have this? Or is it only a few? My sinus pain is very bad now and the pressure is killing me. How does one find a good ENT? Thank you

They do not normally have one in their office but can jusr refer you over to a hospital where it can often be done immediately so really it makes little difference taht they do not have it right in their office. A University medical center is one place you can go to that will have one and will have a very good prospect of being up-to-date in skills – but try to see a senior sinus specialist and nit just an intern, or at least get a follow-up appointment with one.

The CT scan equipment is too bulky and expensive to be in a doctor’s office. Generally the ENT will refer you to a nearby hospital that has the CT scan equipment. > Or is > it only a few? My sinus pain is very bad now and the pressure is killing > me. How does one find a good ENT? Thank you
Look around for a good teaching hospital that has an ENT department. — Steven L.

You might check out BestDoctors.com. I think it’s $35 to join for a year. They give referrals to MD’s in various specialties and you can sort by state/zip code, etc. "Jim Jam" <jimmy14…@webtv.net> wrote in message
