sinus pain and exercise

Question:

Does anyone remember the substance (? a vitamin) that was recommended (I think by Doc G) for pre-dilatation of the blood vessels in the sinuses before exercise? After my latest surgery I have gotten the infection under control (thanks to the xylitol!)  but I am still getting one-sided frontal pain after strenuous exercise, especially in the heat, despite keeping well hydrated. I was contemplating taking Nurofen and Sudafed before exercising, but perhaps that’s not a very good cocktail to have with heavy exercise for those of us approaching middle age and suffering from mild hypertension! Thanks, Ann.

I think the best thing would be just an asprin. Sudafed will raise your blood pressure… for most people it also act as a sedative. Generally exercise should reduce a headache because there is more blood flow attained. I think you may still have some infection if you’re still getting pain. Hi Brian,  Thanks for your hepful posts.  Could you possibly post them in plain text rather than in HTML Although some news readers may now default to html, some of the other ones, like mine, cannot display it.  Thanks.

If you’re using Agent, you can read the raw HTML in the message window by selecting the "Show Raw Message" option in the Message drop-down menu.  A bit cluttered, but you can get the message.
