Nasal Sprays

Hello, I hope that everyone feels a little better today than yesterday.  I do. About 4 months ago my once or twice a month migraine, escalated to once or twice a week.  My doc has been away and his stand in gave me a steroidal nasal spray to try.  I’m not sure if it has helped or not.  I have gone 2 weeks since my last migraine, but I cant say if it was the spray.  Has anyone had any experience with this sort of treatment. I have taken steroids (Prednisone) orally. It can be highly effective for cluster headaches. Richard Saylor

 Hello Vicky, thanks for the response. The nasal spray was Aldecin (Beclamethosone).  It seems it has not done much for my headaches either, but I was kind of hoping the spray would kick in after a while.  .  What are your sinus problems if I may ask.  I suffer sinus pain, I think, although I have read here and on alt.sinus that facial pain may be something other than sinus, such as migraine or tension.  I am trying to find out what I have.  Doctors dont seem to know and all treatment I’ve had has been of limited value.  I have constant trickle down the back of my throat, sometimes more than a trickle.  That I can handle, its the pain I can’t live with.  The nasal spray was a desparate "try this and let me know how it goes" type thing.  I was ok for a couple of weeks then 2 migraines in 4 days again.  Back to doc next Monday for something else. By the way I have finally figured out the preferences and signature thingy. I am not exactly computer illiterate, about grade 2. Which steriodal nasal spray did your doc give you?  Mine gave me Flonase, but it was for sinus problems, not migraine.  It helps my sinuses, but does nothing for my headaches.  I hope you have found what helps you. — Vicky

Which steriodal nasal spray did your doc give you?  Mine gave me Flonase, but it was for sinus problems, not migraine.  It helps my sinuses, but does nothing for my headaches.  I hope you have found what helps you. — Vicky
