My head is hurting.(for real)

Question:

I have a pain behind my ear and it throbs and then it will stop and then pound……is this a cluster headache? I haven’t had a migraine since dialysis but that was all front of the head stuff, I have had cheese and nitrates(baloney) today among other headache inducing things…….and to call the doctor, fuck that and fuck the ER, I told Ted if I die leave me alone. sigh. Owie.owie owie. — TC3

Ooooo, poor you, Cheryl. I see in your next posting you’re feeling a little better; yay. I’ve had some wicked all-day headaches lately; I chalk them up to either seasonal allergies (combination of dried plant stuff blowing around outdoors, and dry heated air inside), or a virus, or series of viruses, that my family and I seem to be trading back and forth endlessly, all this fall, with vague symptoms like headaches, fatigue, "aches and pains" (joints and muscles), minor GI discomfort, sneeziness, postnasal drip, sinus pain, minor sore throats, chest pain, cough, mild laryngitis… I keep thinking we’re all dying slowly of some dread bioterror organism!!! Anyway, I know how "owie" those head crushers can be. My sympathies. Do stay away from the cheese, chocolate, nitrates (I love ‘em too, sigh), and drink lots of water. Is your blood sugar normal etc? (I’m no medic; just a thought.) Take care of yerself, ya hear? Love, Anne

Dear Cheryl, Doesn`t sound like a cluster. Cluster headaches usually involve a eye, and the pain can be so severe that your nose becomes reddened and runs. It usually affects men more than women. It sounds like something to do with your ear. When I get an ear infection or fluid in my ear, I get similiar symptoms. Cheryl Wowsers!!! I woke up with the same and it wont budge yet and I have too much to do as usual pahhhh, hope it goes and I hope yours is better now Cheryl matey.  It was freezing here last night and I wasnt well covered and that cant help and I dont suppose going into the antartic English weather to have a morning smoke in a dressing gown helps too much either:-) But brrrrrrr I had to, did I? I am working on it(the coma)…… I told my dad last night, I KNOW why people become homeless…..it’s not lack of money, it’s stress! <not to make fun of homeless folk mind you but I swear I just got home yesterday and everything started to hurt on me…..my head, my legs, my back….. I guess I knew I have a handy dandy anti seizure suppository for C and she is fine on a new dose of topamax and dad is fine and mom is fine and well, I just let myself go and boy did my body have a shit fit…… sigh….. sorry to ramble….
