Migraines / sinus problems
Question:
First, welcome! You can get headache from many medications. If you’re like me, you may also get migraines along with any illness. You might get them in response to the facial pain of sinus infection. And finally, you might just get them from too much Migraleve. Aren’t we helpful here. Good luck –Julianne
Response:
Have you asked your doctor if your sinus problems might actually be migraines? Migraines cause sinus pain and pressure… I’ve found that Sudafed often alleviates the sinus pressure… and there’s a migraine lurking. I’ve found effidence of the migraine-sinus relationship on many sites. All of the prescription sinus sprays would eventually cause me to have HAs. Even Flonase, which my doc said was mostly because of the drying effect. Maybe something OTC? Good Luck Stacy Montgomery, AL
– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hi all, Just wondered if anyone could help. I’m a first time poster to this ng, so please forgive me if I get it wrong. I’ve suffered with migraines for approx 20 years and managed the pain with Migraleve tablets. This has been fine until recently but now the migraines have been coming almost every day. My concern is that I’m being treated with a sinus problem too and I’m wondering if the Beconase Nasal spray that I have been prescribed is contributing to the frequency or even causing the migraines. Does anyone else have any experiences with this? Thanks in advance, ~Jus~

You might give NasalCrom a try. No script needed. It’s OTC. Good luck!

I was prescribed Beconase for my allergies and sinus congestion years ago and it did make me wake up with headaches. Flonase, however, works just fine for me. Go figure! Red
Response:
According to my medical drug reference (I am a medical transcriptionist), headache IS a side effect of Beconase Nasal Spray. Val in Boise
