Finding the Waterpik

Question:

I had the same experience you had. Couldn’t find the personal size. Finally, I gave in and bought the family size. $39 at Wal-Mart (my first venture to the W- M!). I think there is a web site:  waterpic.com jrg…@hotmail.xyz-REMOVE-xyz-THIS-x-PART-x-.com (Jason Gill) Date: Mon, Dec 7, 1998 9:44 PM wrote: >>Well, in San Diego I checked Sav On Drugs, Target, Wal Mart, Sears, Robinson

May, Nordstrom’s (I was getting desperate) and Long’s Drugs.  I also checked Fred Meyer in Portland, OR.  None of them had the personal unit, and only Wal Mart had ANYTHING of the Waterpik brand, the big mondo Family Size one (ONE.) The only lead I have is an empty shelf at Long’s with a cryptic tag that *might* indicate that a WaterPik was once there.  "TDY WTPK PR." I’m going to try a couple of other Long’s that are 20 and 30 miles away.  I tried calling, but it is pretty much useless this time of year to get any intelligent retail person on the phone that will actually look for you.  They are almost to the point of just picking up the phone and screaming "NO WE DON’T HAVE ANY MORE FURBIES!!!" and slamming it down. Actually, I think I’m going to give up and order off the web, since that was much easier for the Grossan tip.  << — Jason<< Sue M.

In Nebraska, Walgreens is currently selling the "personal" WaterPik for $29 (price includes a $10 rebate).  Osco is selling the "family", WaterPik for $39. Ok, I just received my Grossen Waterpik attachment for nasal irrigation. Now I need to find the Waterpik. The only one I’ve been able to locate so far is the Teledyne Waterpik family unit (sells for about $44). If I’m not mistaken I read here that you can also buy a "personal" unit. Is that true? I found a Teledyne Waterpik personal unit at the drug store but it looks more like a toothbrush and there isn’t a water well. Is that usable with the irrigator? Also, can one buy brands other than Teledyne’s waterpik? Thanks, Jeff ———–== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==———- http://www.dejanews.com/       Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own

Response:

The Grossan irrigator only works with the Teledyne Water Pik. This is because they have the correct frequency of pulsation and correct pressure. There are several models of Water Pik , they all work with the sinus irrigator. Best, Murray Grossan, M.D. http://www.ent-consult.com

I wrote about the personal waterpic unit, a while back. The one I bought was regular about $35, and I got it with a store coupon for $5-10 off at Eckerds, available at that time in their sale paper.  I think about $30 net.  I has 2 pics for teeth and water reservoir sits on top of unit, closes up into a nice neat pkg. Good luck on your search.  Try the drug stores. j_ga…@my-dejanews.com Date: Sat, Dec 5, 1998 8:54 PM wrote: >>Ok, I just received my Grossen Waterpik
