Be sure to mix with warm saline, not plain water! 1 tsp. per pint of water, I use at least 50% alkalol with pre-mixed saline, but it did take time to get used to it, and it depends on your threshold for "pain". It does burn, but how bad is very individual thing, just like cayanne pepper, its all a matter of taste.  I found it worth it! Thom — Please delete the "sp_m" if you’d like to reply directly

You get USED to it. At first I used 1/4 Alkalol to 3/4 saline – now I use it 1/2 & 1/2.  Some people use it FULL STRENGTH! Work your way up to 1/2 & 1/2 other wise you are wasting your money and not getting any benefit. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

If something is causing pain it would suggest that it is is being used in an incorrect manner or it is not suitable. — Heather Collins UK Mikecheath…@oakwellmount.freeserve.co.uk RozRN2 <roz…@aol.com> wrote in message

Strong stuff isn’t it?  I use about 1 oz with 7 oz of water for nasal irrigation.  I think they make it burn, smell and taste bad so users will think it’s really doing something! Harry

Response:

If it is causing burning, it is irritating the sinuses which in turn is causing inflammation and the product of inflammation is mucus. Do you want this? Pain is not gain. — Heather Collins UK Mikecheath…@oakwellmount.freeserve.co.uk Harry Avant <hav…@earthlink.net> wrote in message
