[snip] Do please note that the basic theory of Homeopathy makes no scientific sense at all. The reason it seems to work is probably due to the placebo effect. The power of the brain (not the "mind", just the physical brain) over disease is very strong and sometimes a good placebo is all you need. Still that is no reason to think that silly things make sense. __ Doug Herr, dh…@hooked.net http://www.hooked.net/users/dherr/
Response:
I am looking for a recommendation for either a good homeopathic practitioner or a good ear, nose, and throat specialist near the Palo Alto area. I’ve had chronic problems with sinusitis and want to try to resolve it. I went down this path about 10 years ago and remember seeing an ENT specialist who took tons of x-rays and wanted to correct my deviated septum with surgery. I am really interested in avoiding surgery and having to take antibiotics or other drugs to get rid of the problem. I have heard homeopathy is type of treatment that works, but I’d like some recommendations from folks who have had success. Or, if an ENT specialist helped you, I’d also be interested in your experience and who you saw. Thanks for your assistance!
