OPTIC NEURITIS
Question:
LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON SINUS INFECTION SUFFERERS WHO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THEIR VISION DUE TO CHRONIC SINUS PROBLEMS. I HAVE SUFFERED WITH CHRONIC SINUS PROBLEMS FOR MOST OF MY LIFE. I AM A 54 YEAR MALE. NOW I HAVE ALSO BEEN DIAGNOS WITH OPTIC NEURITIS OF THE RIGHT EYE. DOES ANYONE HAVE INFORMATION ON THESE AILMENTS? ARE THEY CONNECTED? THANK YOU. MR. P L. NUNEZ

developed optic neuritis last October. Although he does not suffer from sinus problems the only thing we can boil it down to is stress as all the tests he has taken (MRI, cat scan, etc) have all proven negative. He is at his wits end waiting for his sight to return in his right eye. It would be interesting to hear the circumstances surrounding your optic neuritis and what your going through to see if there are similarities. There are 50 pieces of research/reviews relating to optic neuritis and sinusitis although some do not provide abstracts. This would have taken the optomologists and the otorhinolarynologist 5 minutes. developed optic neuritis last October and his vision still has not returned to normal. He has never suffered from sinus problems and the only thing we can boil it down to is stress as all the doctors he has seen have no explanation for it. All the tests he has gone through (MRI, etc) have all been negative. He is at his wits end waiting for his sight in his right eye to return. Since you are the same age and gender, it would be interesting to find out if you both have similar circumstances and what you’re going through.
