————————— I have! I get twinges of dizziness and occasionally mild perceptual changes during a flare up. It has gone away during the temporary periods of healing brought on by antibiotics… I am considering purchasing that accessory for the water pic that allows one to irrigate the sinuses. It sounds wierd however. I can imagine if my kid walks in while I’m pumping water in one nostril and its running out the other…. just mikee.

Has anyone with chronic sinusitis also suffered from extreme dizziness? Is this  from inner ear also being involved somehow?

Response:

to Marlaburr and mikee- I also have problems with exteme dizziness and sinus infections and I have been  told that the conditions are related.  Mikee, for your own sake, get that  attachment!  It may sound weird, but if it helps you like it has me, I  wouldn’t worry about my son’s reaction.  I have  two teenage daughters(17 and  14) and they are totally grossed out. But then again, my very existence is a  constant embarassment to them!

When I get a sinus infection that continues to worsen despite self-treatment, it invariably ends up spreading (via the Eustachian tube) into my left ear.  I start to notice pressure in the ear canal, and then dizziness.  This means trouble because my inner ear is becoming involved.  Then I am forced to go to a doctor ASAP for antibiotics.  The doctor often finds that my eardrum is bulging out at that point, confirming ear trouble. — Steven D.
