hives and sinusitis
Question:
For the last two years, I have suffered from hives. At the same time I tend to have a case of sinusitis that won’t clear up with antibiotics. Doctors insist that my hives are a result of an allergy. I think it’s connected to my sinusitis. Anyone else had this problem? What remedies are available? Thanks, Cathy

I’ve had the SAME problem. every time i came down with a cold, and it was usually acute sinusitis, i developed a bad case of the hives. i went to an allergist who tested me and said i was highly allergic. i went on allergy shots, but they didn’t help much. finally, after a couple years, the hives finally subsided (thankfully!). who knows, could have been the allergy shots. or, maybe i WAS exposed to something i was allergic to, and have not been since. i suggest you see an ear nose throut guy to look at your sinuses and see an allergist, but get ready for an extended treatment. PS-Benadryl worked wonders for me when i got the hives.

Maybe it’s the antibiotics. Several of them gave me terrible rashes. Sue
